Starting off with urine reagents, ARKRAY Industry, Inc. in the Philippines has been manufacturing in vitro diagnostic reagents since its establishment by ARKRAY, Inc. (hereafter, "ARKRAY") as an overseas production site in September 2011.
In addition to the existing reagent factory, construction of a new instrument factory and a distribution center has been completed. A completion ceremony with a facilities preview was carried out today, 21 January (Thu), at 09:00 AM (local time). A large number of guests kindly attended the completion ceremony, including the Director General of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).
Through the establishment of an integrated production and distribution system for medical instruments and in vitro diagnostic reagents, ARKRAY Industry, Inc. shall enhance its role to become the core factory for the ARKRAY group and serve to respond to growing demand in the global market.
As a starting point, we shall commence production and shipment of diabetes test instruments and urine test instruments from April 2016. Furthermore, we shall expand our business through the commencement of commissioned production operations.
ARKRAY will continue to facilitate operational improvement in the global production network* and build up an effective production and supply system, enabling us to quickly provide products suited to the needs and trends of the global market.
*We have established a total of 9 production sites in 7 countries, comprising of ARKRAY Factory (Shiga, Japan), which is designated as the 'mother factory,' and production sites in China (Shanghai, Pinghu), the Philippines, India, the United States, England and Russia. Our products are distributed in more than 80 countries around the world.
